Freehold Art Gallery will host a Members Only Art Show for us in January 2026 at 73A West Main Street, 2nd fl, Freehold

Freehold Art Society will cover the cost of the room, no charge for members to show up to 2 pieces. This show will not be judged.

Receiving:  Tuesday, January 6, 2026     10-12 p.m.  and  6-7 p.m.

Reception:  Saturday, January 10, 2026           4 – 6 p.m.

–Freehold Arts Council Arts and Craft Show – December 6, 2025

We will once again participate in the annual Arts and Craft show on Saturday, December 6^th held at Park Avenue Elementary School.  Members only, no cost.

It is a great opportunity to show and sell your artwork. We will have a display table and a display board for your small pieces of art to be hung with “S” hooks. Max size 11 x 14 and art does not have to be original. Prints, especially holiday themed, sell best. Please put prices on your art.

Please let us know if you would like to participate and/or volunteer during this event.

Set up:        10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Show:         11:00 –   4:00 p.m.

Pick up:        3:30 –   4:00 p.m.

Artist, member Beth Stamp will guide us through a Zen inspired workshop on tangling. Participants are encouraged to bring any unfinished art or paintings (watercolor or pencil) you would enjoy tangling on. Tangling works best on flat paper rather than acrylic or oil paintings. You might also enjoy tangling on a page from a magazine. If you have, please bring a Micron Pen or Sharpie Fine Marker.  Supplies will also be available. See attached Flyer for more information.

Also, we will be bringing back our “TRASH AND TREASURE” exchange of artist’s supplies/books.  If you have something that is still useful but you no longer want or need, please bring it to the meeting to trade or to give to another member.

Feel free to support The Elks’ Toys for Tots Drive by bringing a new unwrapped toy or dropping off anytime until 12/15.

Our friends at the Freehold Elks Lodge are hosting a toy drive. Donations accepted until 12/15. Drop off during business hours or leave on the porch at 73 E Main St.

Our General Meeting on Tuesday, Sept 30 was enjoyed by all. Thanks to our talented instructor Nancy Pitcher!

Back by popular demand, artist Nancy Pitcher will lead a participatory demonstration of Watercolor painting, with a landscape.

The meeting begins at 6:30 pm on Tuesday September 30. Materials will be provided or bring your own. Open to the public. Bring a friend! No experience necessary. Thanks to the Freehold Elks Lodge for hosting us. The address is 73 East Main Street, Freehold NJ 07728.

We will be participating in the Freehold Arts Council’s 12th Annual Arts and Craft Show. The show is held at Park Ave School, 280 Park Ave., Freehold and is usually well attended.

This Holiday show best suited to small works (up to 11×14) and crafts for gifts. Please mark a price on your pieces. The show is open to the public from 11-4. We can receive your pieces from 10-11 am, and pick up is 3:30-4pm. The Art Society covers the cost of the show.

We need volunteers for the following shifts: 10-12, 12-2 and 2-4. Please email if you can table sit for a few hours with other FAS members.

Pick up and receiving for our members only Art Show at The Carnegie Library in Freehold Boro is Monday 9/8, 7-8:30 pm and Tuesday, 9/9, 9:30-11 am

Judge’s Awards: Nancy Pitcher, “Abandoned,” Jane Gavaghen, “Catskill Rain.” Honorable Mentions: Joseph Reilly, ‘Venice Canal,” Linda Hart, “The Recital,” and Leslie Daley, “Pears and Berries.”

(Note: Tuesday 9/9 is also Receiving at the Freehold Art Gallery if you have arranged with Jill to participate in the Gallery’s show.)
